“Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world.”
I feel like this quote says a lot about Walt. He was giving the company permission to help Disneyland evolve so it would always be the best it could be. It seems that he was less concerned with Disneyland remaining exactly the way HE made it, and more concerned with it always being the happiest place on Earth. It illustrates how much he prized imagination and valued progress as long as it was made for the betterment of Disneyland. He did a good enough job instilling his ideas that the magic never left even when the park itself shifted and changed.
Ho boy. Uh.
Attention to detail. Which is less a thing itself than a medium for the magic. Like, there is nothing to distract you or remind you that you are in the real world. Every single thing has been thought of and brought to life so that the experience is complete and absolute and you’re not in a theme park, you’re in Disneyland.
Dream Job: Maybe fireworks op? The fireworks are such an amazing and (in my opinion) essential part of any Disney visit, and I also love things that go boom. I’m sure it’s a very complicated job and I’d have to be trained up the wazzu, but yeah. Or if I were a dude and had singing talent, a Dapper Dan.
Favorite time to visit: Spring. The weather is perfect for me (warm but not hot) and it’s way less crowded than summer without feeling abandoned. I’ve never been at Christmas time though, so that’s subject to change.
Favorite picture is easy:

Between the complete and sincere terror on my face and the guy second from the right in the second row, this one is gold.
Cast Costume:
I feel like “The Dapper Dans” is my answer to about 40% of these questions, but I really love their outfits (SO dapper!) and how they change for the holidays.

I think the real answer would be a mite too sappy (sap causes nausea, you know). So my favorite memory for the purposes of the internet is when my boyfriend dragged me onto Grizzly River Run (I know, it’s DCA) as our last ride of the day. The other riders in the raft were hilarious and friendly, and the best part was that the fireworks had started so we could see them at various points during the ride and it was gorgeous. Totally worth tromping around in soaking-wet jeans afterward.
